Welcome to my website, a place to bring together my passions of Rock Climbing and Photography, and to showcase my work on Creative projects including Film work, Jewellery and Lighting design.

Rock Climbing

I started climbing about 15 years and i’ve spent virtually every holiday since then exploring amazing crags over 11 countries. As a sport and lifestyle, rock climbing ticks all the boxes for me: a motivation to explore, and spend time in obscure corners of the world (and now New Zealand!), the opportunity to challenge myself with very defined goals, a creative, problem-solving component, and a great community of fellow climbers. Climbing also has a core aesthetic component that really resonates with me - the beauty of the boulders and cliffs among vast landscapes, and the flow of a climb up the faces and the simplicity of the movements as we work through the sequences of moves.

After feeling like I'd plateaued in my progress about 4 years ago, I really stepped up my training, working with a coach, planning out blocks of training for specific goals and focusing on addressing key weaknesses. Since then i've seen huge growth as an athlete, climbing 33 boulders V10 or harder, including two V12's, and sport climbed 17 routes grade 29 or harder, including two 31's. The seasonal crags here in NZ initially motivated me to switch between Sport climbing over summer and Bouldering over winter and its become a routine for the past few years, and has been a great way to keep up motivation to train and get outside as many weekends as possible. This has also worked in well with the NZAC winter 'National Indoor boulder series', in which I placed second nationally in 2019 and 2017, and have now won the Wellington event two years running.

 My current focus is training for several boulder projects at my local crag at Turakirae Head in Wellington, before I switch back to Sport climbing for a summer trip down to 'Little Babylon' in Milford sound.
